Take It Personally

This teaching expounds around a teaching by E. W. Kenyon titled The Forgotten Secret of Seeing Yourself In The Word.  Kenyon said Christians do not see their own reflection in the Scriptures. We don’t see ourselves in the Word and hence are disconnected from what God says about us. We need to realize that God will do for us what he did for Abraham, David, Solomon, Peter, John, and Paul. When we study the scriptures, we need to change the pronouns in the promises. Kenneth E. Hagin, and others, also taught that we should study the “In Him “In Christ” and “In Whom” scriptures and learn who we are.  We Christians should change the pronouns in God’s promises and take them personally.
